Pizza Sandwich recipe



Pizza can be enjoyed throughout the day, and even on the go, with this delicious, simple recipe. Add pepperoni or cooked sausage for a meat-lover's version.

Pizza Sandwich Ingredients:
  •  8 slices bread of choice
  •  ¼ cup prepared tomato or pizza sauce
  •  8 fresh basil leaves
  •  8 to 10 black olives, pitted, chopped
  •  ½ teaspoon salt
  •  ½ teaspoon black pepper
  •  1 (8- to 10-ounce) ball mozzarella cheese, sliced
  •  ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Pizza Sandwich Directions:
  • Preheat Panini grill or griddle.
  • On bottom half of bread, spread tomato sauce evenly. Top with basil and olives; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Top with mozzarella slices and Parmesan cheese; replace top half of bread.
  • Place sandwich on Panini grill and cook until bread is lightly golden and inside has melted, 5 to 6 minutes. Slice in half and serve warm.
