Belgian waffle recipe
Belgian waffle Ingredients:
- 4 medium eggs, separated.
- 1 packet of yeast, dry.
- 2 ½ cup of flour.
- 2 cups of milk, lukewarm.
- ½ cup of melted butter.
- 1 tablespoon of sugar.
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla.
- ½ teaspoon of salt.
- Sprinkle the dry yeast over the lukewarm milk; stirring to dissolve.
- Beat the egg yolks and add to yeast mixture with the vanilla.
- Sift together the flour, sugar and salt, then add to the liquid ingredients.
- Stir in the melted butter and combine thoroughly.
- Beat the egg whites until stiff, then fold into the mixture.
- Allow to stand for about 45 mins until the mixture doubles in bulk.
- Use about 1 cup of the mixture per waffle.
