Belgian waffle recipe


Belgian waffle Ingredients:

  • 4 medium eggs, separated.
  • 1 packet of yeast, dry.
  • 2 ½ cup of flour.
  • 2 cups of milk, lukewarm.
  • ½ cup of melted butter.
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar.
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla.
  • ½ teaspoon of salt.
Preparation Instructions:

  • Sprinkle the dry yeast over the lukewarm milk; stirring to dissolve.

  • Beat the egg yolks and add to yeast mixture with the vanilla.

  • Sift together the flour, sugar and salt, then add to the liquid ingredients.

  • Stir in the melted butter and combine thoroughly.

  • Beat the egg whites until stiff, then fold into the mixture.

  • Allow to stand for about 45 mins until the mixture doubles in bulk.

  • Use about 1 cup of the mixture per waffle.
